OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) – An Employment Law Conference will be held in Tulsa and Oklahoma City in July, provided by Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s office.
The Office of Civil Rights Enforcement, which is part of the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, will host the two-session conference. The conference will focus on emerging employment law discrimination issues, including updates on equal employment practices, navigating social and political expression in the workplace and handling religious accommodations within employee dress codes.
Participants can receive continuing education credits.
“We’ve assembled a terrific group of attorneys to provide sessions on a variety of employment law topics,” said Eric Di Giacomo, acting chief of the Civil Rights Enforcement division at the attorney general’s office. “We look forward to bringing this program into the community to promote compliance among small businesses, human resources professionals and attorneys.”
Representatives from the Office of the Attorney General, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and nationally recognized lawyers who practice employment law will speak during the conference.
The Tulsa session will be held on July 11 at the Oklahoma State University – Tulsa Auditorium, 700 N. Greenwood Ave.
The Oklahoma City session will be July 18 at the Oklahoma Bar Center, 1901 N. Lincoln.
The conference will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each session.
