OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) – The Prosperity Tracker Legislative Scorecard shows that Oklahoma’s state senators and representatives were predominantly pro-growth in how they voted on legislation concerning business, workforce and the economy in 2025.
The State Chamber released its annual Legislative Scorecard on Wednesday, giving the Oklahoma Legislature an overall 73 percent pro-growth score.
The Prosperity Tracker, formerly known as the RIED Report, is an app that enables Oklahomans to track pro-growth voting of state legislators and vital economic statistics pertaining to Oklahoma’s growth.
The app features the Legislative Scorecard, which evaluates each state legislator’s individual voting record on bills that impact business, industry, job creation and economic growth. The Scorecard also grades each legislator on their pro-growth voting at the end of each legislative session.
“This year’s Prosperity Tracker gives companies the opportunity to see how legislators voted on key issues that affect the business community,” said Jake Yunker, Executive Director, State Chamber Research Foundation. “This is a great tool to show how legislators are voting as well as an opportunity for companies to engage with those lawmakers to better explain the positions taken by the business community.”
The Legislative Scorecard creates individual profiles of each legislator’s voting record on bills that concern business, industry, job creation and economic growth.
The Legislative Scorecard evaluated legislators on their votes for 10 bills. Such bills include House Bill 2619, which pertains to third-party litigation funding reform, and House Bill 2764, which cuts the state’s income tax and reduces the income tax brackets.
“This year’s scores consider not only the legislator’s votes but also considers whether the legislators advocated and worked on pro-growth bills,” said Amanda Hall, Policy & Research Director. “The pro-growth advocate grade reflects what bills the legislator filed, co-authored, carried in committee, debated for or against, and what types of questions they asked.”
The Legislative Scorecard gave the following seven lawmakers an A+ for a perfect 100 percent score:
- Rep. Mike Osburn
- Rep. Tammy West
- Sen. Christi Gillespie
- Sen. John Haste
- Sen. Spencer Kern
- Senate Pro Tem Lonnie Paxton
- Sen. Aaron Reinhardt
The Scorecard also gave an “A” grade, a score of 90 percent or higher, to 38 legislators.
