OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (OBV) — State Rep. Mark Chapman, R-Broken Arrow, has been appointed to serve on the Oklahoma Ireland Trade Commission, a group focused on fostering economic and cultural ties between Oklahoma and Ireland.

House Speaker Kyle Hilbert, R-Bristow, announced the appointment earlier this week, noting the commission’s role in promoting international business partnerships and collaborative ventures.

Chapman, whose appointment is effective immediately, expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity.

“It’s an honor to help strengthen the bridge between Oklahoma and Ireland,” Chapman said. “When we open doors for our businesses abroad, we create new opportunities here at home. I appreciate Speaker Hilbert’s trust in me and look forward to contributing to this important work.”

The commission works to advance trade, investment, education, and tourism between the two regions, aiming to build long-term relationships that benefit both economies.

Chapman represents the Broken Arrow area in the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
