OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) — The Oklahoma Senate voted Tuesday to confirm Dustin Hilliary to the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents.

Hilliary, a telecommunications executive and OU alumnus, was confirmed on a 33-10 vote. His nomination had previously advanced from the Senate Rules Committee, where lawmakers discussed university governance, research and development, technology transfer and Oklahoma’s broader economic competitiveness strategy.

During that hearing, Hilliary emphasized higher education’s role in enrollment growth, adult degree completion, workforce development and long-term economic opportunity.
