POCOLA, Okla. (OBV) — Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola announced a $140 million expansion and renovation project that will add 130 hotel rooms, new guest amenities, and upgrades across the property.
The project includes a seven-story hotel tower with premium suites, a resort-style pool and outdoor bar, a full-service spa, 24-hour fitness center, and coffee and tea bar. The existing 118-room hotel will also receive updated furnishings, lighting, carpet, and bathroom fixtures.
Choctaw said the casino floor, registration area, restrooms, restaurants, and bars will be refreshed, while the poker room, off-track betting area, and Rewards Club will move to upgraded locations.
“Choctaw – Pocola plays a vital role in driving economic growth and opportunity in this region,” Choctaw Nation Chief Gary Batton said. “This investment will allow us to welcome more guests while delivering an even higher level of hospitality and resort experience.”
Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola is the largest employer in LeFlore County and the second-largest resort in the Choctaw Casinos & Resorts portfolio. The property serves guests across northwest Arkansas and the River Valley.
Tutor Perini Construction and JCJ Architecture will partner on the project. A groundbreaking is planned later this fall.
