Bice joins bipartisan Congressional Free Enterprise Caucus

WASHINGTON (OBV) — U.S. Rep. Stephanie Bice is part of a new bipartisan House coalition formed to keep pro-growth, pro-worker, and pro-business principles at the center of Congress’ economic agenda.

Bice, a Republican who represents Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District, joined the Congressional Free Enterprise Caucus, which launched in June under Reps. August Pfluger, R-Texas; David Valadao, R-Calif.; Brad Schneider, D-Ill.; and Lou Correa, D-Calif.

The caucus will seek bipartisan agreement on policies that strengthen free markets, restore fiscal discipline, and support the nation’s long-term economic competitiveness. Its stated priorities include sustained annual economic growth of at least 3%, responsible federal spending, and regulations that preserve necessary safeguards while allowing businesses to innovate, invest, and compete.

The caucus’s co-chairs introduced the effort during a meeting with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors shortly after its launch.

“What binds the caucus is not a unified position on every economic policy issue, but instead a belief that free enterprise has been the key element in creating opportunity,” U.S. Chamber President and CEO Suzanne P. Clark said.

The U.S. Chamber said it plans to work with the caucus as it develops a legislative agenda focused on business growth, worker opportunity, and American competitiveness.
