Park Aerospace selects Tulsa for $65 million manufacturing facility
The advanced composite materials plant at Tulsa International Airport is expected to create more than 100 jobs.
TULSA (OBV) — Park Aerospace Corp. plans to invest approximately $65 million in a new advanced composite materials manufacturing facility at Tulsa International Airport.
The company selected an 18-acre site in the airport’s North Development Area for the project. Construction is expected to begin soon, with completion planned for 2028.
Once operational, the facility is expected to employ more than 100 people.
Park Aerospace develops and manufactures advanced composite materials and structures used in commercial aircraft, military aircraft, jet engines, unmanned aerial vehicles, rocket motors, and spacecraft.
“Park’s new home at the Tulsa International Airport represents an exciting new beginning for our company,” said Brian Shore, chairman and CEO of Park Aerospace.
The company said Tulsa’s workforce, transportation infrastructure, business environment, and established aerospace industry helped drive the location decision.
“Companies don’t choose a location simply because land is available,” said Alexis Higgins, CEO of Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust. “They choose places where they can find talent, infrastructure, and partners who are invested in their success.”
The announcement was made in partnership with the State of Oklahoma during the Farnborough International Airshow in England.
Park Aerospace joins several companies investing in Tulsa International Airport’s aerospace campus, including Agile Space Industries, Quantum Space, and Lufthansa Technik Component Services.
Tulsa International Airport has more than 700 acres available for future development and supports one of the nation’s largest aviation and aerospace employment centers.
