ARLINGTON, Va. (OBV) — Boeing reported second-quarter revenue of $24.6 billion, an 8% increase from the same period last year, as commercial aircraft deliveries continued to recover.

The company delivered 171 commercial airplanes during the quarter, up from 150 a year earlier. Boeing also reported $1.4 billion in operating cash flow and $631 million in free cash flow. Its total backlog reached a company record of $715 billion, including more than 6,200 commercial aircraft.

Despite the stronger revenue and cash flow, Boeing recorded a net loss of $428 million, or 67 cents per share. The company reported $156 million in operating earnings, compared with a $176 million operating loss during the second quarter of 2025.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes generated $11.8 billion in quarterly revenue, while its operating loss narrowed to $322 million. The company booked 246 net aircraft orders during the quarter and reported a commercial backlog valued at approximately $597 billion.

Defense, Space & Security revenue increased 13% to $7.5 billion. The segment recorded a $15 million operating loss, including $280 million in losses related to additional production and certification work on the VC-25B program.

Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg said the company’s operations are becoming more stable as it focuses on safety, quality, certification programs, and on-time performance.

“While there is more work ahead in the second half of the year, the momentum we are building continues to move Boeing in the right direction,” Ortberg said.
