TULSA (OBV)— ONEOK’s 2025-2026 corporate sustainability report outlines progress on emissions reductions, operational innovation, workforce development, and community investment across one of North America’s largest energy infrastructure systems.
Headquartered in Tulsa, ONEOK operates an approximately 60,000-mile network transporting natural gas, natural gas liquids, refined products, and crude oil. Its operations include gathering, processing, fractionation, transportation, storage, and marine export services.
As of the end of 2025, ONEOK said it achieved approximately 1.8 million metric tons of emissions reductions, representing 82% of its goal to reduce combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2.2 million metric tons by 2030. The target applies to legacy ONEOK assets and represents a 30% reduction from 2019 levels. The company continues to evaluate how recently acquired operations will be incorporated into its emissions strategy.
ONEOK also reported reducing Scope 1 methane emissions from its legacy assets by approximately 30% since 2019 while growing its operations. The company attributed its progress to methane-detection technology, operational improvements, electrification, and efforts to eliminate or redirect emissions sources.
The report highlights investments in data-driven energy management, real-time demand monitoring, automation, and emerging technologies. ONEOK is also testing systems that convert waste heat into electricity, portable natural gas processing equipment, electric valve controls, and methane-reduction technologies developed with early-stage companies.
The company said it also invests in an Oklahoma-based venture capital fund focused on developing the state as a hub for energy technology startups.
Over the past five years, ONEOK invested nearly $8 billion in infrastructure and system improvements. Its report said those investments are intended to strengthen system reliability, connect energy supplies with domestic and international markets, and support future demand.
“Energy is foundational to modern life,” ONEOK President and CEO Pierce Norton said. “It powers our homes, fuels transportation and enables economic growth.”
The report also details ONEOK’s workforce and community impact. The company employs more than 6,000 people, and 96% of employees lived in the state where their position was located at the end of 2025. More than 99% of company positions were full time.
ONEOK and its foundation contributed more than $9.5 million to charitable organizations in 2025. Employees recorded more than 27,000 volunteer hours supporting more than 500 organizations, with education, safety, and local community needs identified as investment priorities.
