BCBSOK awards more than $1 million to 23 Oklahoma nonprofits
Blue Impact grants will support workforce opportunities, food access, housing, and health care across the state.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma awarded more than $1 million in 2026–27 Blue Impact grants to 23 community organizations working to improve health and address barriers to care.
The funding supports five areas: economic opportunity and stability, nutrition, neighborhood and built environment, locally defined health solutions, and health outcomes. BCBSOK selected recipients based on measurable impact, sustainability, and alignment with its community health mission.
Economic opportunity recipients include A New Leaf, Curbside Enterprises, She Brews, and Tulsa Metropolitan Ministries. That funding category addresses employment barriers, skills development, and economic stability.
Other recipients include Hunger Free Oklahoma, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, ReMerge, NAMI Oklahoma, and Oklahoma Project Woman. Supported initiatives address needs ranging from food and transportation access to behavioral health and cancer screening.
“The strongest communities are built by people who care deeply for their neighbors,” BCBSOK President Stephania Grober said.
BCBSOK awarded more than $7.7 million through its major grants program over the past decade, according to the insurer’s announcement.
