V&S Schuler plans $22 million expansion in Muskogee

The steel components manufacturer will build a new facility, retain more than 70 jobs, and add skilled positions over the next five years.

V&S Schuler Tubular Products will invest $22 million in a new manufacturing facility at Port Muskogee’s John T. Griffin Industrial Park, relocating its existing Muskogee operations to increase production capacity and modernize its manufacturing processes.

The company manufactures steel components for utility and infrastructure customers and operates in Muskogee since 1995. The project will retain all of its more than 70 existing positions and add jobs in welding, fabrication, and other skilled trades over the next five years. The announcement did not specify the number of new jobs.

“This expansion allows us to strengthen our operations, better serve our customers, and continue investing in Muskogee,” V&S Schuler President Dirk Sliwinski said.

The City of Muskogee’s Economic Development Opportunity Fund will provide $100,000 to support workforce retention and the new operations, according to Port Muskogee.
