Greenheck plans $300 million Owasso expansion, more than 700 new jobs
The manufacturer will convert the former Macy’s distribution facility into a new operation, more than doubling its manufacturing footprint in Oklahoma.
OWASSO, Okla. – Greenheck Group plans to invest approximately $300 million and create more than 700 jobs over the next five years through an expansion into the former Macy’s distribution facility in Owasso.
The manufacturer of commercial air movement, control, and conditioning equipment will use the 1.3 million-square-foot building for manufacturing and office space. Initial improvements are expected to finish by spring 2027, with production beginning shortly afterward.
The project builds on Greenheck’s Tulsa campus, first announced in 2017, which now includes eight buildings, 850,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and more than 900 employees. The new facility sits on 72 acres less than 15 minutes away.
“Less than a year after this facility lost hundreds of jobs, Greenheck Group is making a major investment and bringing hundreds of new manufacturing careers to our region,” Tulsa County Commissioner Stan Sallee said.
Company, state, and local leaders celebrated the expansion Sept. 18. Greenheck expects positions at the Owasso facility to begin opening in early 2027, according to company officials.
