Smalls Sliders Makes Oklahoma Debut with Tulsa Location, to Honor Local Hero at Grand Opening

TULSA, OK (OBV) — National burger sensation Smalls Sliders brings its signature “Smorange™” charm to Tulsa with the opening of its first Oklahoma location. The popular quick-service restaurant (QSR) known for its cheeseburger sliders, waffle fries, and milkshakes opened its doors in June at 619 W 71st St S.

Marking the brand’s entry into the Oklahoma market, the Tulsa restaurant—affectionately called a “Can” in Smalls Sliders’ lingo—features a vibrant orange shipping container design, outdoor turfed patio seating, and a menu focused on simple, high-quality fare. This launch is the first of several planned in the region by Slide Thru LLC, a local franchise group led by entrepreneur Kyle Abrusley.

“This is just the beginning for us in Oklahoma,” said Abrusley, President and Owner of Slide Thru LLC. “We’re excited to introduce Smalls Sliders to Tulsa and connect with the community in a big way.”

As part of that community connection, Abrusley honored Sean Lord, Co-founder and President of Heroes Hope, as Tulsa’s inaugural Smalls Town Hero. The recognition is part of a brand-wide initiative to spotlight local leaders who are making a meaningful impact.

Lord, a veteran and advocate for the homeless, founded Heroes Hope in 2023 with a mission to end homelessness among veterans and their families across Oklahoma. The organization provides vital resources including housing, food, and employment support.

“Sean embodies everything this honor stands for,” said Abrusley. “He’s changing lives every day, and we’re proud to recognize him as part of our opening celebration.”
