OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) — Governor Kevin Stitt appointed Kristin Jarman as Associate District Judge for Murray County February 6.

“Kristin Jarman’s diverse background from prosecutor and public defender to administrative law judge and municipal judge makes her exceptionally qualified to serve Murray County,” Stitt said. “Her commitment to fair, timely justice, combined with her real-world experience as a rancher and mother, will ensure accessible courts that uphold the rule of law for all Oklahomans.”

Jarman is an Oklahoma State University graduate, where she ran cross country, and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Her career includes prosecuting and defending criminal cases, service as an Administrative Law Judge, and a gubernatorial appointment to the Oklahoma Board of Juvenile Affairs. In recent years she has practiced broadly in criminal, civil and family matters, along with wills and estates, real estate, contracts, and oil and gas.

“I am grateful for the Governor’s trust and confidence in me for this important role. I look forward to being an accessible, engaged presence in Murray County, listening carefully and working diligently every day,” Jarman said. “The public should know that our court is a place where differences are heard respectfully and resolved fairly and promptly. It is where estates are handled with care and efficiency, and where criminal cases are tried impartially, upholding the rule of law and the rights of all.”

A mother of three, Jarman and her husband raise Black Angus and Hereford bulls on their family ranch in Davis.
