OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) — Gov. Kevin Stitt issued a statement Monday responding to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address, calling the speech a strong message centered on economic growth and national competitiveness.

Stitt said the president’s remarks focused on issues facing working families, including energy production, manufacturing, public safety and cost pressures.

“President Trump delivered a strong message focused on putting America first,” Stitt said. “He talked about the issues that matter to hardworking families and key actions taken to strengthen pursuit of the American Dream for generations to come.”

Stitt said Oklahoma’s economic performance reflects the priorities outlined in the speech and said he looks forward to continued federal‑state collaboration.
