Aerospace Week takes flight Across Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) — Oklahoma Aerospace Week, a statewide effort to celebrate and strengthen the aerospace ecosystem while inspiring future innovators, begins March 30 with a defense briefing at Innovation Hall and continues through April 4.

Established in 2021, Aerospace Week brings together leaders from industry, government, education and the community in partnership with the Oklahoma City Innovation District and the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics.

At the center of the week is AERO Oklahoma: Aviation, Aerospace & Defense Awareness Day at the State Capitol on Wednesday, April 1. Organized by the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics, the gathering features exhibits, networking and conversations with legislators focused on innovation, workforce and growth.

Week at a glance (selected events):

  • Mon., March 30 — ODIA Defense Briefing, 3:00–6:30 p.m., Innovation Hall (OKC).
  • Tue., March 31 — Tech Talk: Aerospace Edition (eVTOL Integration), 5:00–6:00 p.m., Hamm Institute for American Energy (OKC).
  • Tue., March 31 — Aerospace Legislative Reception, 6:00–7:00 p.m., Innovation Hall (OKC).
  • Wed., April 1 — AERO Oklahoma at the Capitol, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Oklahoma State Capitol (OKC).
  • Thu., April 2 — “Legacy to Launch: Igniting Oklahoma’s Space Industry,” 12:30–3:30 p.m., Tulsa Air and Space Museum (Tulsa).
  • Thu., April 2 — OSU “Dronies Awards,” 5:15–6:30 p.m., ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center (Stillwater).
  • Fri., April 3 — “Innovation on the Block,” 6:00 p.m., Innovation Hall (OKC).
  • Sat., April 4 — “Blast Off! Live Chat with an Astronaut,” free community event, streaming at select Oklahoma locations.

Events run March 30–April 4 across Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Stillwater, celebrating the people and programs shaping the future of flight in the state.
