Oklahoma Decides and The State Chamber of Oklahoma will host their second Election Night livestream Tuesday, Aug. 25, providing real-time results and analysis as Oklahoma’s primary runoff election unfolds.
The broadcast will begin when polls close at 7 p.m. and stream on YouTube, Facebook, and OklahomaDecides.com. Coverage will include key statewide and legislative races, election results, and reactions as outcomes take shape throughout the evening. Oklahoma Decides announced the second broadcast following its inaugural Election Night program during the June primary election.
Oklahoma voters will decide several closely watched races Aug. 25, including Republican runoffs for governor, state superintendent, labor commissioner, and insurance commissioner. The ballot also includes a Democratic runoff for U.S. Senate, several state legislative contests, and local races.
All Oklahoma voters may also cast ballots on two state questions. State Question 844 addresses reimbursements to local governments related to certain manufacturing property tax exemptions, while State Question 846 would add voter identification requirements to the Oklahoma Constitution.
The first Oklahoma Decides Election Night livestream aired June 16 and provided live coverage of the state’s primary election, with an emphasis on statewide contests and state House and Senate races that often receive less attention.
Oklahoma Decides is a State Chamber voter-engagement initiative that provides Oklahomans with information about candidates and elections across the state.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 25. Voters can find their polling place and sample ballot through the Oklahoma State Election Board.
