KIHOMAC plans $25 million Oklahoma City expansion
The project includes an approximately 130,000-square-foot facility to expand support for Tinker Air Force Base and the surrounding aerospace industry.
Aerospace and defense company KIHOMAC announced plans Sept. 17 for a $25 million expansion of its Oklahoma City operations, according to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
The investment includes an approximately 130,000-square-foot facility that will increase the company’s capacity to support Tinker Air Force Base and other aerospace and defense customers. KIHOMAC provides manufacturing, engineering, and services for the industry.
“We are proud to strengthen the network of companies supporting Tinker Air Force Base and to partner with the ACES team as we continue to invest in our people, our capabilities and the state of Oklahoma,” said KIHOMAC CEO Ki Ho Kang.
The company announced the expansion alongside Commerce’s Aerospace Commerce Economic Services team during the AFA Air, Space & Cyber Conference in National Harbor, Maryland.
Commerce said Oklahoma’s aerospace and defense sector secured $450 million in capital investment from 37 new or expanding businesses in 2025, creating more than 1,300 jobs.
The announcement did not specify a construction timeline or the number of jobs associated with KIHOMAC’s expansion.
