Archer named chair of The Energy Council
The Oklahoma House Energy Committee chair will lead the international, nonpartisan energy policy organization.
OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) — Rep. Nick Archer, R-Elk City, was elected chair of The Energy Council during the organization’s annual meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, last week.
Archer chairs the Oklahoma House Energy Committee and previously served as vice chair of the council’s Executive Committee. He joined the international, nonpartisan energy policy organization in 2022.
“This organization plays an important role in bringing policymakers together to address the opportunities and challenges facing the energy industry,” Archer said. “I am committed to continuing conversations to support a strong, stable energy future as Oklahoma powers our country and world.”
Archer also serves on the House Energy and Natural Resources Oversight Committee. A former Elk City mayor, he was first elected to represent House District 55 in western Oklahoma in 2022.
