Gov. Kevin Stitt appointed Tyler Schnaithman to the Oklahoma State Board of Agriculture, representing District 1, pending confirmation by the Oklahoma State Senate.

Schnaithman is a fifth-generation farmer and rancher from Garber. A 2017 Oklahoma State University graduate in agricultural economics, he returned home after college to continue his family’s farming and ranching operation alongside his brother and father.

“Tyler knows Oklahoma agriculture because he lives it every day,” Stitt said. “He comes from a strong farming and ranching background. He understands the importance of protecting our agricultural economy. He is exactly the kind of leader who will help keep Oklahoma a Top 10 Agriculture State. I am proud to appoint him to the State Board of Agriculture.”

Schnaithman said he is grateful for the opportunity to represent northwest Oklahoma on the board. He succeeds Joe Farris.
