Crusoe opens second Tulsa factory to expand AI infrastructure production
The 400,000-square-foot facility expands the company’s manufacturing capacity as its workforce across two Tulsa sites exceeds 300.
Crusoe opened its second Tulsa manufacturing facility Sept. 14, expanding production of electrical equipment used to power artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The new facility adds 400,000 square feet and brings the company’s national manufacturing footprint to roughly 1 million square feet. Crusoe said it employs more than 300 full-time manufacturing workers across its two Tulsa locations.
Workers produce switchgear, switchboards, electrical enclosures, industrial controls, and copper busbar. The operations draw on skills in engineering, welding, powder coating, fabrication, and electrical assembly.
“There’s a lot of talk about the AI buildout, but so much of it comes down to real people building real things, and we need more of those skilled hands here in Tulsa,” said Cully Cavness, Crusoe’s co-founder, president, and chief strategy officer.
Crusoe said its Tulsa operations supplied more than 2,500 switchboards to the company’s Stargate project site in Abilene, Texas. Its first Tulsa manufacturing facility opened in 2024.
The company said designing and manufacturing components in-house helps shorten production timelines and gives it greater control over quality and delivery.
