DRG opens Oklahoma City repair facility to fill gap in simulator support

The 25,000-square-foot facility expands the company’s ability to repair aging simulator components, store training equipment, and support relocations worldwide.

OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) — Delaware Resource Group celebrated the opening of its new repair facility Sept. 15, marking another expansion for the Oklahoma City-based aerospace company.

The 25,000-square-foot facility at 4616 SW 20th St. provides space to repair simulator components, store training equipment, and support simulator relocations worldwide. DRG CEO Brian Busey said the repair operation addresses a growing need as manufacturers stop producing replacement parts for older systems.

“But this is the ground floor of the next leap of where we’re going,” Busey said. “And I truly believe that Oklahoma is where we can do it from.”

DRG provides simulation and training services, with more than 1,200 employees and operations in 42 states and 25 foreign countries, Busey said. The family business began in the study of his father’s Oklahoma City home.

Busey credited employees and community partners with helping bring the facility into operation. He recognized Scotty Barrow for managing the endeavor and the company’s facilities team for completing the construction work.

The facility began operating before the ribbon-cutting. Busey said the company is considering additional construction on the property to accommodate future growth.
