Boeing posts busy week with deliveries and new aircraft orders
Boeing reported strong year-end deliveries and announced new aircraft orders this week, including a 787 Dreamliner deal with Delta Air Lines and a major 737 MAX purchase by Aviation Capital Group.
OKLAHOMA CITY (OBV) — Boeing had a full slate of commercial aviation news this week, reporting fourth-quarter delivery totals and announcing new aircraft orders tied to both airlines and aircraft lessors.
Q4 and full-year 2025 deliveries
Boeing said it delivered 160 commercial aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2025 and 600 aircraft for the full year, led by the 737 program. Fourth-quarter commercial deliveries included 117 737s, 10 767s, six 777s, and 27 787 Dreamliners.
The company also reported 37 defense, space, and security deliveries in Q4 and 131 for full-year 2025, spanning platforms such as the Apache helicopter, Chinook, KC-46 tanker, and P-8 aircraft. Boeing noted delivery figures are not final until quarterly financial results are issued.
Delta Air Lines adds 30 787 Dreamliners
Building on that delivery momentum, Delta announced it will add 30 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners to its widebody fleet, introducing the aircraft as a new fleet type for the carrier. The order complements Delta’s previous commitment for 100 Boeing 737-10 aircraft, with deliveries to begin following certification.
“Delta is building the fleet for the future, enhancing the customer experience, driving operational improvements and providing steady replacements for less efficient, older aircraft in the decade to come,” said CEO Ed Bastian. Delta said the aircraft will support its international growth strategy and will be powered by GE Aerospace GEnx engines.
Aviation Capital Group places 50-jet 737 MAX order
In a separate release, Boeing said Aviation Capital Group placed a new order for 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, including 25 737-8s and 25 737-10s. The purchase doubles ACG’s 737-10 order book and brings its total Boeing 737 MAX commitments to 121 aircraft, with deliveries scheduled between 2026 and 2033.
Boeing said the order represents the largest 737-10 order by a lessor and reflects continued demand for next-generation single-aisle aircraft across global airline fleets.
