Bearhawk Aircraft gains production space at Fairview airport
A $1.86 million airport project added three hangars, including space for the aircraft kit manufacturer’s production and builder-assist programs.
earhawk Aircraft will occupy one of three new hangars at Fairview Municipal Airport, expanding the space available for its manufacturing and builder-assist operations in Major County.
The airport recently completed a $1.86 million project that added three 60-by-60-foot hangars, new apron and taxiway access, drainage improvements, and supporting infrastructure.
Owner Virgil Irwin acquired Bearhawk in 2024 and began relocating the company from Austin, Texas, to his hometown of Fairview. The company manufactures kits for five models of experimental aircraft and offers hands-on assistance to customers completing their airplanes.
The additional facilities are part of broader airport improvements intended to accommodate aviation activity and support business growth in northwest Oklahoma.
