TULSA, Okla. (OBV) — A Florida-based security equipment supplier opened a distribution center in Tulsa.
SS&Si Dealer Network representatives announced that the 3,850 square-foot distribution center recently opened at 4681 S 83rd East Ave., in Tulsa.
“This new distribution center is part of our ongoing initiative to bring value-added distribution to dealers across the country,” said Jake Voll, president of SS&Si. “With the addition of the Tulsa distribution center, we’re positioned to offer even faster support to our customers and help them succeed in an increasingly competitive industry.”
SS&Si is headquartered in Orlando, Fla. The Tulsa distribution center will be the company’s second distribution center. The first was opened in Huntsville, Ala., and serves the eastern part of the country.
“Tulsa has a really good reach right here in the center of the country. We also have a couple of remote employees living in the Tulsa area already. So, it just made sense to make that the next spot for our distribution center,” said Tyler Martin, marketing manager for SS&Si.
Branch Manager Kyle LaPach is running the distribution center.
“The market here is thriving with incredible dealers, and this expansion will also improve shipping times for our existing partners out West. I’m eager to continue driving excellence and value for our dealers at SS&Si Dealer Network,” LaPach said.
SS&Si sells security equipment, including alarm panels, sensors, video surveillance equipment, security cameras, access controls, entrance controls for turnstiles and metal detectors.
“We’re the distributor, so we sell to the security integrators; [that] market’s pretty big here in Tulsa. And then they sell to the end user,” Martin said.
The company is equipping the Tulsa distribution center with printing technology that will support its branding program. This program allows dealers to showcase their own brand identity with free, full-color logo printing on a wide range of products.
The distribution center is now open and has a limited inventory.
“By mid-March we should be more functional with additional employees and more stock available in our warehouse,” Martin said.
