EMD Electronics Announces $4.27M Expansion at Catoosa Facility

CATOOSA, OK (OBV) – EMD Electronics, the U.S. and Canadian Electronics business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, announced this morning a $4.27 million investment in its Catoosa facility at 1115 W. Keystone Ave.

The expansion will increase production capacity to better serve semiconductor chip manufacturing customers in the U.S. and Europe. Alex Botelho, Head of Operations for Thin Films at EMD Electronics, made the announcement alongside representatives from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, Catoosa Chamber of Commerce and the Tulsa Port of Catoosa.

EMD Electronics provides high-tech materials and solutions for the semiconductor industry, as well as liquid crystals and OLED materials for displays. The company also operates regional offices in Tempe, Ariz., and Philadelphia, Pa.
