Oklahoma Breaks Record with Nearly $14 Billion in New Capital Investment

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (OBV) — Oklahoma has set a new benchmark for economic growth, with the state surpassing $13.7 billion in new capital investment so far in 2025 — nearly doubling its previous record of $8 billion set in 2023.

Governor Kevin Stitt

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce announced the milestone Monday, calling it a sign of growing confidence among global companies in the state’s pro-business climate.

“Oklahoma’s turnaround started in 2019, and now our state’s economic future is brighter than ever,” said Gov. Kevin Stitt. “Top-tier companies around the world see what’s happening in our state, and they are lining up to reinvest and do business in Oklahoma. We’ve cut taxes and red tape, created business courts, and now we’re seeing the hard work pay off with almost $14 billion in new capital investment.”

The surge in investment is fueled in part by Google’s recently announced $9 billion commitment over the next two years, which includes building a new data center in Stillwater. The total also reflects expansions from more than 200 existing companies across the state through programs such as the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program (OIEP) and the Business Expansion Incentive Program (BEIP).

Commerce officials say the record underscores Oklahoma’s growing role as a hub for advanced manufacturing, aerospace, energy, and technology.

“The recent announcements from Google, EGA, SCHEELS, and hundreds of other businesses across the state show the confidence companies have in Oklahoma’s ability to support growth and innovation,” said John Budd, CEO of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. “Not only are companies choosing Oklahoma for our affordable, reliable energy and truly business-friendly environment, but they are also coming here because it’s the best state in the country to live and raise a family. Oklahoma continues to win, and the world is taking notice.”

Recent major projects contributing to the record include:

  • CBC Global Ammunition: $300 million investment in a new manufacturing facility.
  • Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA): $4 billion aluminum production plant, establishing its U.S. base in Oklahoma.
  • Firehawk Aerospace: $22 million investment in Lawton.
  • Kratos Defense & Security Solutions: New advanced manufacturing facility in Bristow.
  • Vudoo Gun Works: $8.3 million headquarters and manufacturing relocation to Prague.
  • SCHEELS: Expansion with a new Oklahoma City store slated to open in spring 2028.

With nearly $14 billion in new capital already committed this year, Oklahoma leaders say the state is positioning itself as one of the fastest-growing business destinations in the country.
